4 things Lions can teach you on being King of your Jungle

I found this today and it’s perfect for “Inspirational Saturday”, we can take a good lesson from the king of the jungle because we make our lives what we want them to be. It’s up to you to decide the what and the how you want your life to look like and end the end strut your stuff and give off a big roar!

I live in Kenya and we have beautiful lions! You never really get used to seeing a real life lion, it’s always epic. He walks confidently looking around; like he owns the place then does this terrifying roar just in case you hadn’t noticed. I love it.

The King of the Jungle can teach us a few things about being King in our chosen fields.

1. A lion is not the biggest or fastest or strongest animal in the jungle but he is the king

He looks at a gazelle and decides – that’s lunch. He works skilfully to make up for what he doesn’t have. Some lions hunt in pairs approaching the prey from opposite sides. One lion will spook the gazelle who runs off in the opposite direction, straight into the arms (or rather mouth) of the lion waiting on the other side. Brilliant Strategy! Brains not brawn.

What’s Your Why?

Today’s Saturday motivational is about the why. Why do you want to change, why do you want something different, why do you want to live? What is it that moves you? What drives you? This is about that deep desire that we each have inside of us it’s about pulling it out and doing something about it.

This week has been rough for me, I’ve just been feeling stuck. Stuck in my relationships, stuck in my finances, stuck in living the same way everyday and going nowhere, just spinning my wheels.

I had to look deep to find my desire again, to find my why. There are two major things I have always wanted in life, that was to write a book and to have a restaurant.

My why for starting this blog it’s cheaper than opening a restaurant and I still get to cook in the kitchen. I still get to have fun in the kitchen mixing different flavors together. I get to write whatever hits me. I will actually finish writing a story or my sister will kill me.

I’m in charge of my destiny, I’m fifty and I’ve found my why, I’ve found my desire.

So what’s your why, what’s your desire? Post in the comments and let me know

PS: I find all of my great motivational videos on YouTube by Mateusz M. He has some great works that really make you think and truly inspire you to want to be and do more.

Running in the Rain!

I found this video for my Inspirational Saturday post and this one brought tears to my eyes and reminded me that sometimes I have to slow down and enjoy my life even more, especially now during this season of my life. Being off work due to ankle surgery, hassling with insurance company for my disability and having to move into a smaller place. All these things could get me down but I’ve been blessed and the next time it rains I’m going to go and get washed. Happy Saturday my friends, enjoy!

It Will Become Clear

Anyone that knows me, knows that I am a preachers kid aka PK, and I have a set of beliefs that I try to live my life by. I haven’t always been this way it took some time and a whole lot of dark days but I do believe in God. So you will notice that I will make reference to my belief a lot of times and I’m not trying to preach to no one, I’m just writing what comes from my place in this life that it may touch someone else.

Today for Inspirational Saturday this video was posted on my FB page from GodVine and it really gave me an even clearer understanding about how prayer works. Even if you don’t see anything happening right then an there, there is a change going on and things will get more clear as you continue to pray. Enjoy and please let me know if this video has touched you in any way.

Win from Within!!

Don’t let anyone tell you what you can or can’t do in this life. You were created to succeed, failure is not an option but a choice!
