The Song That Is Summer To Me!!

Daily Prompt: Musical Marker

http://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_prompt/musical-marker/

We all have songs that remind us of specific periods and events in our lives. Twenty years from now, which song will remind you of the summer of 2014?

When I got up this morning my plan was to write a rant blog but I saw the daily prompt and since I haven’t done one in a long time I decided that I would put the rant aside cause I’m sure I will see something else that I will want to add to it.

Today’s prompt is to write about a song that will remind me in twenty years about this summer of 2014. Under normal circumstances it would be a great love song but in my opinion there hasn’t been any really good love songs since I was a teenager. But there is one song out there that was released this year that I found to be really catchy and helped make me forget my troubles when I first heard it, that song is by Pharell Williams called “Happy”.

This is just one of those songs that makes you want to get up and dance all over the place and if I could I would. This song also remind that no matter what to be happy during the good and even the bad and this has been a bad summer for me.

The second verse of the song is my favorite it says “here comes bad news talking this and that, well give me all you got and don’t hold it back, I should probably warn you I’ll be just fine, no offense to you, don’t waste your time.”

It seems I’ve had nothing but bad news coming my way all this summer, with ankle surgery keeping me off my feet and not being able to work made my finances spiral out of control, plus I’m right in the middle of trying to move. So when I listen to this song it makes everything a little more bearable.
