Day Five: What is on your happy playlist?

The prompt today is about what’s on my playlist especially those songs or musical pieces that make me happy.
I have over one thousand songs on my playlist but maybe twenty-four that I play when I need that special pick me up.
I’m not going to name them all but I will talk about the top four that really take me to another place when I need to just get my head back into the game.
#4 is a country song by Chris Cagle called “Wal-Mart Parking Lot” I like this song because it makes me want to just move and dance around, which is good when you’re feeling down.
#3 is by Mr. C the Slide Man called “Cha Cha Slide”
I play this song again to just get my body moving and dance like we did back in the day.
#2 is a gospel song by Donnie McClurkin called “Stand”
I play this song when it feels like I just can’t go on anymore, where I have done everything I possible could do and it doesn’t look like nothing is working out. That’s when I play this song to remind me that I believe in a God that will give me peace no matter what.
#1 and my number one song that I will blast is by Maceo Parker called “Children’s World” I blast this song loud at least twice until I feel the vibrations flooding through my body. This musical piece reminds me of emotions and feelings, from making love to screaming at the top of your lungs, that’s why this one is on the top of my playlist.
So as you can see I like different types of music, from gospel to jazz, music that will transport me and remove all the negative stuff going on in my life.
Tell me what’s on your playlist that helps you get through something?
Peace, love and all that jazz!!
