Food From Everywhere!

I’m a little late for this one, so I will be writing two posts in one day so I can catch up 🙂

This prompt was really hard for me, trying to think of which of my favorite foods made me happy when I came to the conclusion that it’s good food that makes me happy no matter what kind it is.

I love food, whether I’m cooking it, shopping at the grocery store for it or going out to eat it, I love food, which is another reason why I wanted to start a food blog. Continue reading “Good Food Period!”

He Always Surprises Me!

Sitting here thinking about yesterday’s post and the person in question and the last five years that we have been together and all the times he would surprise me just because. Continue reading “He Always Surprises Me!”

What Do I Do?

What do you do when you’re down to bring yourself a little joy?

I decided to participate in the BlogHer December NaPloMo and this is the first prompt for the month and right now it’s perfect for the place I find myself in at the moment.

Giving Thanks!

Today is Thanksgiving, the first time in history of being back in KC that I’m not cooking and the family is not cooking. Chili, Casseroles and Birthdays

The past week was a whirlwind of birthdays, starting with my fathers on the nineteenth, my boyfriends on the twenty-first and then my baby sisters husbands on the twenty-third, yeah a lot of testosterone going on here. My sister and I still wonder how we ended up with men who have birthdays that fall during the same week as our father, we think it’s a bad joke played on us by fate :).

This year we are having a little surprise dinner for dad and the guys, nothing too fancy just a way to say happy birthday and we love you. We decided to have a chili contest between my sisters and I and let the guys pick their favorite, even though the only vote that matters is dad’s so of course we are going to do what sisters do and outdo the other to win points with the old man 🙂 Continue reading “Chili, Casseroles and Birthdays”
